SIMA 2011 News: HC 6500 on NAVIGATOR21 February 2011
With its large colour display and joystick operation, the HARDI Con-troller 6500 is the top end of spray controllers. Designed specifically for sprayers, the HC 6500 will make the NAVIGATOR an even more obvious choice.
Design and Ergonomics
HC 6500 is designed only for spraying, which means that there is no com-promise in functionality to meet the demand for other implements. The ergonomic optimal design supports the demands given by long working hours and easy operation. All buttons are placed in a logical way which harmonizes with the corresponding function. As an example, all functions normally used during the spray job are placed in the joystick, so these functions can be activated without lifting the arm from the seat’s arm rest.
The colour display is made so it has the best readability, also in sunlight.
To make it as easy and simple as possible, the connection between sprayer and tractor is made with only one cable.
The display is built up with different groups of keys. Numeric keys
make it easy to enter values and names of e.g. fields. Navigation keys for smooth manoeuvring in the menus. Soft keys for optional features and preset keys to enter directly in the most used menus. The help key gives detailed information on the functionality of the display and frees the opera-tor from having to find details in the instruction manual. The whole set-up is meant to be intuitive, and customer feedback from 5 years of experience shows that this goal has been reached.
The complete controller consists of 2 boxes and 1 grip. These 3 items are made modular for optimal customization when mounting takes place in the tractor cabin. Data dump is possible and a printer is an option to be able to print out e.g. time sheet directly when the spray job is done.
If high level of features and functionality is a demand, HC 6500 mounted on NAVIGATOR will be the obvious choice.
