HARDI TWIN – 20 years of experience and success

This year HARDI celebrates the 20 year anniversary of the ultimate HARDI TWIN boom concept. HARDI TWIN is a unique active air assistant spraying system, which gives the user the opportunity of up to 100% increase in capacity in combination with an optimum use of plant protection chemicals with up to 30% savings.

Over the 20 years, the TWIN concept has been optimized and extended, with focus always on a maximum field work rate and excellent guidance of the chemicals towards the spray target. This unique system is tested and approved by farmers and research institutes worldwide as an application technique which can be used with fine spray droplets, which are the best to get a good coverage, also in difficult weather conditions and at high driving speeds.

HARDI TWIN is the optimum spraying concept - by guiding the spray drops with air, drift is avoided! With the unique angling of the spray swath and air curtain, the coverage and penetration into the canopy can be significantly increased.

TWIN success story

Today more than half of the HARDI self-propelled ALPHA sprayers and more than one third of the COMMANDER trailed sprayers are delivered with the powerful TWIN FORCE system. Boom sizes up to 36 m and tank sizes up to 6600 l are available. TWIN sales are increasing due to demand for larger capacity and more efficient application.

Maximum capacity – up to 100% increase

With HARDI TWIN the water volume rate can be reduced to half of the conventional volume rate. This means less water haulage and less filling time. The driving speed can be easily increased by 50%, because the risk of drift increase is minimized by the active air. The spraying time per day can be extended in most areas because TWIN maintains an excellent cross distribution also in windy conditions. Practical results show an increase in capacity of up to 100%.

Up to 30% chemical savings

Due to the fact that more ha/h can be sprayed, TWIN users have a better spray timing, which reduces the amount of chemical dosage needed. Also, better coverage and a higher on target dose gives a far higher action of the chemicls. Depending on the crops, farmers save between 5 and 30% of their chemical costs, an enormous financial advantage and a plus in the environmental discussion.
